The annual Jazz in The Hillz Winter Concert Series continues to attract the biggest names on the Australian jazz scene. Gospel diva, Carol Ralph is this year joined by Adelaide's Gail Kingston for two concerts in the magnificent Celebrity Room of the Dural Country Club.
Gail is known on the jazz circuit for her passion for traditional and classic jazz. She has performed at major jazz festivals around Australia, including the Gold Coast, Kyneton and Moe festivals. She is regularly featured on ABC Radio National and ABC Classic FM, particularly for her 'Hot Gospel' performance at the Gold Coast Jazz Festival.
Gail fell into Jazz while checking out the Australian music scene after working in the UK. Prior to that, she has performed as a cabaret singer in London nightclubs, sung with college choirs performing Mozart and even fronted a heavy rock band. Her remarkable repertoire spans folk, country, pop, rock, light opera, musicals and classical.
